5 philosophies
1. Ethics (德 Te)
represents discipline, a sense of duty, responsibility, honesty, integrity, gratitude, and generosity. The Early Childhood Department emphasizes cultivating ethics in students by organizing and incorporating these activities into every activity our young children participate in, including Good Manners, Flag Raising, and experiential learning activities.
2. Wisdom (智 zhi)
represents a keen learner, a creative thinker, and a wealth of experience. To develop intelligence and agility in our children, the school organizes age-appropriate activities, providing hands-on experiences and developing the rapidly developing brain at this age. This fosters intelligence and creativity by allowing students to learn foreign languages that are easy and age-appropriate, such as Chinese, with four 45-minute sessions per week, and English, with three 45-minute sessions per week, taught by native teachers. This integrated learning is facilitated through activities such as listening, storytelling, singing, and role-playing.
3. Hygiene (体 ti)
represents good physical and mental health. Our young students’ physical and mental health are enhanced through a variety of activities and games that encourage them to practice and play happily. The playgrounds are fun for students, but they also develop physical and mental skills. Students are cheerful, and the school provides an environment conducive to learning both inside and outside the classroom. And, most importantly, safety is our top priority.
4. Spirit (群 Quynh)
This refers to the spirit of knowing when to lose, when to win, and when to forgive. Cultivating our students’ sense of sharing and kindness starts with small, easy-to-do things, such as sharing toys, helping friends in the classroom, and lining up. These may seem minor, but they reflect the spirit we desire in our students.
5. Aesthetics (美 mei)
This refers to arts, music, and sports. Childhood is a time of joy and enjoyment, cherishing music and rhythm. Movement and gestures to the beat of music are essential, and children learn to play simple musical instruments, sing Thai, Chinese, and English songs, create artistic works based on creativity, and instill a love of physical activity and sports appropriate for their age.
